Campus Safety

The University of Memphis is consistently one of the safest university campuses in Tennessee, according to statistics maintained by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The campus police department comprises 34 full-time, commissioned, state-certified officers on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The campus is well-lighted and equipped with security cameras and emergency phones located throughout. The student-run Tiger Patrol provides escorts to students and others on campus after dark.
