The University of South Dakota is a comprehensive, public institution of higher education granting bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees. The U offers a wide range of programs with a liberal arts or pre-professional emphasis and many nationally recognized graduate programs. The U is home to South Dakota's only College of Fine Arts, as well as the state's only School of Law, School of Medicine and South Dakota's only AACSB-accredited School of Business
