At first glance, life at the School of Mines is everything you'd expect at one of the nation's premier science and engineering schools. It’s a place where Quake and Halo tournaments are serious affairs; where dorm rooms feature self-assembled computers and custom-built music systems; where you commonly hear members of the track team arguing about complex scientific equations while they exercise; where the idea of a practical joke is to make a gigantic rock, weighing tons, disappear without a trace from outside the Office of the President. The Hardrockers Community is undeniably distinctive and never boring!
