Campus Safety

The Department of Public Safety at Clarion University has a fulltime, commissioned, professional law enforcement staff. Officers are on duty seven days a week 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and are prepared to respond to any situation that may arise. A bicycle patrol, unit established in 1995 enables officers the ability for quick responses and their mobility is especially useful when dealing with events on campus that involve large crowds. The department’s student escort service helps to enhance students’ feeling of safety while walking alone at night on campus. Its intention is to promote feelings of safety by providing a safe alternative to members of the campus community who would otherwise have to walk alone during hours of darkness.
