Kent State University has been helping students fulfill their life goals for more than 100 years. Kent State has 9 colleges offering more than 300 academic programs from the associate to doctoral level. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching classifies Kent State among the nation's top 74 public high-research universities, and U.S. News & World Report ranks us in the coveted first tier of best colleges. Our faculty, staff and students strive to achieve the highest levels of scholarship and public service. This continuing quest for excellence — evident across our eight-campus network — translates into experience for life, ensuring a bright future for our students.

Living in the Community

Kent State students learn as part of a diverse student body, including a large international student population. Yet, more than 45 percent of classes have fewer than 20 students. Whatever interests students have, they can pursue them at Kent State — from more than 300 clubs and organizations; 18 NCAA Division I teams; a vibrant visual and performing arts community; to centers devoted to academic success and career services. Students live in residence halls with all the comforts of home, including living-learning communities that focus on personal and academic interests. Students can take advantage of education-abroad opportunities that will internationalize their degree and enhance their personal growth. As part of the Kent State community, students can explore their interests and uncover their potential.
