The Department of Public Safety ensures the safety and security of the CCNY community by reviewing ID from all students, faculty, and staff at all campus entry points; by issuing announcements and alerts; and by providing mobile patrols, security posts, closed circuit cameras, and late night escorts. The office also oversees the free college shuttle service and its online schedule (NextBus@CCNY)

Public Safety’s highly trained, full-time peace officers and security guards are available 24/7 and they maintain close ties with the New York Police Department, including the neighborhood precincts.
