Campus Safety

The Risk Management Safety & Security Unit reflects the high priority UNC Charlotte places on community safety. It houses Business Continuity Planning (emergency planning and warning systems), Risk Management, Safety (fire and environmental), and Police & Public Safety (24/7 patrol, 911 response, prevention education and services, victim assistance). Also available are card access, 300 emergency phones, escort/shuttle services, counseling center, and annual safety surveys. Award winning collaboration by university and city police impacts off-campus safety.
