The 49ers Community
UNC Charlotte is the proud home of the Charlotte 49ers, a community with strong academic programs and enrichment opportunities such as residential and non-residential learning communities, international travel, honors programs, and undergraduate research with renowned faculty. Academic advising and academic support services are available from the time our students transition to the University, including services for transfer students, multicultural populations, student athletes, veterans and service members, and students with disabilities. Located in the vibrant city of Charlotte, students become engaged with the local community through service-learning courses and volunteerism. Students are active on campus, whether living in residence halls (traditional, suites, apartments) or fraternity and sorority houses, participating in leadership development or outdoor adventure programs, or joining some of the 250 or more student organizations. Parents and families are welcome to become members of our Niner Nation Family.
