The Truman State University Community
With over 200 student organizations including social fraternities and sororities, service clubs, campus media, acappella singing groups, cultural and religious organization; 21 intercollegiate athletic teams; club sports and an active intramural program, the Truman experience doesn't stop at the classroom door. The experience permeates the entire campus, offering students opportunities that entertain, pique their interests, and develop their minds and talents. With a population of approximately 17,000, the city of Kirksville offers a safe and friendly environment that is intertwined with many advantages of a larger city. Truman is committed to the academic success of all its students. All students work closely with an academic advisor to ensure that they get the most out of the experience and are aware of campus resources that can help them succeed including the Career Center, Student Health Center, University Counseling Services, and the Writing Center.
